Each class is 2 hours long and designed to accommodate the needs of each student and how they learn. All supplies are provided. Children and adult lessons are available. Ages 7 years and up. No experience necessary. Supplies will be provided except mix media pad for practice.\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003e2 hr. Agenda:\u003cbr\u003e30 min. introduction to materials with lecture\u003cbr\u003e30 min. practice time\u003cbr\u003e1hour painting time\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003eCLASSES INCLUDE:\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cbr\u003e1 Color theory– Students will learn and have a better understanding of the color wheel. They will learn the difference between primary, secondary, tertiary, complimentary colors. They will also have an opportunity to experiment with color mixing, blending techniques, and will also be taught the importance of a values, hues, and tones.\u003cbr\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cdiv\u003e\n\u003cbr\u003e2 Composition- Students will understand how shapes, forms, tones, and color are used in art to create the composition of their painting.\u003cbr\u003e\n\u003c\/div\u003e\n\u003cdiv\u003e\n\u003cbr\u003e3 Texture– Students will be taught how to create the different types of texture of surfaces, objects, \u0026amp; animals using acrylic paint.\u003cbr\u003e\n\u003c\/div\u003e\n\u003cdiv\u003e\n\u003cbr\u003e4 Light\/dark– Students will understand how the intensity of light can affect the subject they paint and use it to create more realistic art. They will learn greyscale, and experiment with new techniques to achieve their goals.\u003cbr\u003e\n\u003c\/div\u003e\n\u003cdiv\u003e\n\u003cbr\u003e5 Perspective–This class is a basic drawing class that introduces materials used to draw and how to create dimension, and different points of view.\u003cbr\u003e\n\u003c\/div\u003e\n\u003cdiv\u003e\n\u003cbr\u003e6 Line–This class teaches how to use the concept of line to evoke feelings, movement, and know the difference between geometric, and organic lines.\u003cbr\u003e\n\u003c\/div\u003e\n\u003cdiv\u003e\n\u003cbr\u003e7 1st Landscape Painting-Students will create their own landscape painting to show their understanding of how to use the concepts taught in class. Focus on concept of creating composition, using perspective and understanding line.\u003cbr\u003e\n\u003c\/div\u003e\n\u003cdiv\u003e\n\u003cbr\u003e8 2nd Painting-Students will create their own still life painting using a still life display as a model to show their understanding of how to use the concepts taught in class.
